Future Facility Initiative Announced
Brad introduced a new initiative for Fellowship West – the search for our “growing place”. We’ve stretched the capacity and functionality of our current space and property. To expand and enhance our mission to see Jesus transform a community – that transforms a community. We embarked on 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting as Phase One of our Future Facility Initiative.

The Taskforce
In May our Future Facility Taskforce, led by Neil Anderson - Pastor for Community and Leadership - was formed.
Members include: Sean Chalmers, Mark Harrington, Katie Moran, John Platillero, and Daniel Bumbalough.

The Work Begins
Following our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting - the Future Facility Taskforce began meeting monthly to access the sale of our current property, analyze our future facility needs and prospects, and identify professionals to help us with our real estate and property needs.
May Taskforce Update
We have officially closed on the sale of our current property.
The Lord has been incredibly kind to us in this season. We purchased our facility in January 2021 for $450,000, with an additional $100,000 invested in renovations—bringing our total investment to approximately $550,000. Our closing sale price was $1.3 million. Even after closing costs, our investment has essentially doubled.
We have secured a temporary lease for a new worship space.
Another example of God’s provision is a partnership with a local landlord who is leasing us a newly renovated church building—just one mile down the road. This document provides an overview of the rental facility. Our tentative move-in date at the Dogwood Lane property is August 3rd.We are actively evaluating long-term facility options.
Our Future Facility Team is currently in the due diligence phase with several land and building options that we are considering for permanent purchase.
We’re excited about the forward momentum and what this means for our church family. Please continue to pray for our elders, staff, and facility team as we seek the Lord’s guidance in the days ahead.
April Taskforce Update
Church Family,
On behalf of our Future Facility Taskforce, I'm honored to announce that we are under contract for $1.3M on our current church property. That is $100K over our original asking price. Thank you, LORD! And special thanks to our faithful facility team too!
We also were able to negotiate a 1-year leaseback option, which gives us added flexibility to remain in our current property for up to 12-months (no penalty for early exit) as we continue our search for a new home.
Our search for a new home has been difficult. There are not many existing structures/churches for sale that meet our needs. We have considered both remodeling an existing structure and have recently dedicated more of our attention to the potential of buying land and building a new permanent home.
In the event of a major remodel or building campaign, we would likely need to prepare for one more 'temporary' move sometime in late 2025 or early 2026. As such, we've identified 2 temporary locations that should meet our needs if necessary.
Please continue to keep our efforts in your prayers. God has provided us with an incredible offer for our current property. We trust He will do the same for our next home!

OctoberTaskforce Update
KEY DETAILS:
Our current property is under contract with a buyer.
We are in a period of due diligence. This involves the regular process of a commercial sale, including building inspections, buyer lending preparation etc.
We’ve secured a “lease back” option with our prospective buyer. This means we will have several months to continue to meet and use our church facility as we currently do. At minimum we have secured the space thru June 1st 2025.
We are currently pursuing multiple new facility options and leads. We have secured a ‘contingency’ short-term meeting location if we do not secure a new property and our lease expires.
This is a tremendous blessing from the Lord! We’ve agreed to a 1.1 Million purchase price, pending a few final negotiations.
September Taskforce Update
Our current property is currently on the market. Our listing can be found here.
We have contingencies in place to ensure we are able to secure a meeting space in the event of a quick sale.
